Design and manufacturing of two sterilization lines of concentrated coffee extract
SACOME has been commissioned to design and manufacturing two sterilization lines of 9,000 kg/h of concentrated coffee extract — with a solid extract of 11% — by one of the world’s leading producers in the coffee and derivatives sector. This producer has more than 100 years of experience in the sector. Among other products, this firm produces and markets different varieties of soluble, freeze-dried coffee, cocoa and diet foods.
Our client was very concerned about minimizing energy consumption, particularly steam consumption, so energy recovery was a priority for this project. Therefore, the sterilization lines supplied by SACOME achieve 66% of regeneration.
On the other hand, the S-TFM-I heat exchangers have been supplied mounted on four DHE-type frames, prepared so that the client can make the closure by means of stainless steel plates covered with mineral wool. In this respect, we can guarantee a dual function: on the one hand, to protect the plant workers in the event of accidental contact with the surface of the exchanger, at high temperature; and on the other hand, to insulate the equipment thermally, minimizing losses.
