Current society is increasingly aware of the environment and sustainable production. In this context, the importance of the Biodiesel Industry is more than evident.
Biodiesel, ethanol and biogas (methanol), are considered to be some of the most important biofuels produced by renewable energy. From the environmental point of view, this is a key factor to ensure energy supply in the future, as well as to reduce CO2 emissions and environmental pollution.
The biodiesel is produced by chemical reactions of transesterification and esterification, starting from vegetable or animal fats and oils (pure or recycled) that react with short-chain alcohols, as methanol or ethanol.
Along this reaction, whose main step takes place in a reactor, other products and by-products are processed or generated, as glycerol (useful in the cosmetic industry), soaps or residual water. In this field, SACOME’s main advantages are based on our expert staff in thermal design (backed by our experience of more than 35 years in the process industry) and the support of HTRI (organization we are members of since 1.998) to carry out customized and reliable designs and manufacturing solutions of our heat exchangers, condensers, evaporators and distillation columns for biodiesel production.
SACOME has hundreds of references in the processing of numerous kinds of oil, animal fats and their derivatives.
