SACOME understands the quality of a product to be its ability to perform effectively under the specified conditions of use, guaranteeing its safety throughout its estimated useful life and with minimum operating and maintenance costs.
We understand that product quality is a commitment and an individual responsibility of all our members, and it is our obligation to achieve and project an image of professionalism and integrity.
In terms of quality, the system is based on the analysis of risks and opportunities, based on the context and needs of the interested parties. From this, the necessary actions are taken to ensure all aspects involved in quality, from the offer phase, design, manufacturing, and inspection, and in the permanent search for compliance with customer requirements and thus increase customer satisfaction.
We are firmly committed to achieving and demonstrating solid environmental performance by controlling the impact of our activities and products on the environment.
SACOME is aware of its duty to ensure the health and safety of its employees in all aspects of their work, by monitoring working conditions and providing them with the appropriate level of protection.
Success is the sum of all individual actions at all levels of the company. Each SACOME employee is responsible for their actions within their specific role and is fully committed to the quality of the product offered to our customers, the sustainable use of resources, respect for the environment, and occupational risk prevention.
For all these reasons, we have implemented an Integrated Quality, Environment, and Occupational Risk Prevention Management System that is certified in accordance with the UNE-EN-ISO 9001 standard by SGS ICS.

Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU
SACOME is authorized to manufacture equipment of any category, and affix the CE marking because its quality system has been audited and complies with the requirements of the H / H1 modules of the new Directive 2014/68/EU.

Quality Controls and Non Destructive Tests (NDT)
The quality control performed on our equipment is divided into three phases:
- Inspection of incoming raw materials
- Controls during manufacturing
- Final inspections.
In all of them a careful visual inspection and an exhaustive dimensional control are carried out.
Final assessment of all our pressure vessel always includes a test for the pressure containment aspect, which normally take the form of a hydrostatic pressure test at a pressure at least equal, where appropriate, to the value laid down in the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU. Leak tests with pressurized air are always included too.
During manufacturing, other inspections are usually performed:
- Radiographic examination of welds (using both X-ray and radioactive isotopes)
- Liquid penetrant
- Ultrasonic examination
- Magnetic particles
- Other non-destructive tests according to the customer requirements.
These are outsourced to recognised third-party organizations.
Furthermore, final inspections include checks of finishing, cleaning, painting if applicable, packaging and preparation for shipment.
All the quality tests and inspections are supervised and inspected by the most renowned Inspection Agencies SGS, APPLUS, EUROCONTROL, Lloyd´s Register of Shipping (LR), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Bureau Veritas, Germanischer Lloyds (GL).
