New supply of three steam condensers under vacuum conditions for a major client world leader in the beverage production
Last week we delivered several process equipment to one of our most important clients in Germany. These are three steam condensers under vacuum conditions. For this project, the tubular heat exchangers have a dual function; on one side, to condensate the residual steam from the plant and on the other side, to do the preheating of the process water and the CIP solution in the factory.
Our client is a German food producer and a world leader in the beverage production. Therefore, this client required us to have internal surface finish with roughness Ra <0.8 µm.
In order to take advantage of the space available in the plant, we have manufactured special supports that allow the assembly of the heat exchangers in a single row. On the other hand, for better drainage, we lean all the shell and tube heat exchangers to the condensate output connection.

The importance of rheology in the design of any processing plant is crucial since the sizing of many of the elements composing it is very dependent on this “resistance”, also taking special relevance with food products: heat exchangers, pipes, valves, pumps, mixers, etc.
To design a heat exchanger it is necessary to have certain data, such as the process flow rate, the temperature and the physical properties of products.
Hairpin heat exchangers have a more efficient and economical design compared to a multiple pass heat exchanger when the process requires a temperature crossing between the cold and hot fluid.
