♻️How do you improve biogas drying while maximising condensate recovery under real operating conditions?

SACOME has supplied a new tubular heat exchanger for biogas drying at a wastewater treatment plant.

The unit was designed to cool a biogas flow of 350 Nm3/h down to an outlet temperature of around 2 °C, allowing the water content present in the biogas stream to be removed.

This heat exchanger was developed together with a condensate vessel connected to its outlet, designed to maximise the amount of water recovered from the biogas stream. To improve this recovery, the exchanger incorporates a downward slope, ensuring the circulation of condensed water even at very low ambient temperatures.

In this type of application, the result depends not only on the cooling duty, but also on how the equipment is arranged to favour condensate recovery in real service conditions.
