Tubular heat exchangers for water heating for process

These heat exchangers are intended for the heating of 11,000 kg / h of water from 70 ºC to 80 ºC by means of 207 kg / h of steam at 0,5 barg.

For this type of process SACOME sales engineers usually choose models from our V SERIES. However, our client asked us to adapt the tubular heat exchanger to an existing heating skid. For this reason, our technicians designed the shell and tube heat exchanger taking into account the position of the connections, the type of connection and the maximum available length in the skid of 1,200 mm.

Furthermore, we added to this equipment a 40 mm thick mineral wool insulation covered with a 0.5 mm thick sheet made of AISI 304 stainless steel. In this way we have managed to minimise the heat losses to the outside.

The fast drawing approval by the client has been crucial to meet the manufacturing deadlines. To expedite this process, this compact tubular exchanger was supplied with a 3D file, compatible with CAD software such as SolidWorks. Through this file the tubular heat exchangers can be integrated by the client into their skid or installation drawings. This is a common practice in the SACOME Projects Department and it is really welcomed by our clients.

The project has been carried out in Belgium. However, our client has an extensive network of factories all over the world. The skids will be intended for hot water supplying for different types of final products, such as chocolates, different kinds of fried foods, cookies, milk-based desserts, prepared products, sauces, creams and dairy products, among many others.
