For Spain’s leading steel plant, SACOME has supplied a UFO DN800 expansion joint for testing, designed to be installed in one of the main stages of the steel production process.
Operating at temperatures above 300 °C, this unit is capable of absorbing movements of ±165 mm axially and ±40 mm laterally, all within a compact overall length of just 900 mm.
This combination of movement capacity and reduced installation length is especially relevant in services where thermal expansion has to be managed without compromising the layout of the line.
