SACOME is collaborating with an engineering company specialised in processes for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries on the design of a condensation system aimed at separating, purifying, concentrating and recovering chemical components obtained through distillation.
As part of this project, SACOME has manufactured a tubular heat exchanger connected to the distillation reactor which, using water as the cooling medium, allows the condensation of solvents such as alpha-pinene, beta-pinene and D-(+)-limonene.
The selected solution is a 50 kW industrial multitubular heat exchanger with a removable U-tube bundle, corresponding to SACOME’s I-TFMU-D model. This configuration makes it possible to condense the solvents on the shell side while also allowing full access to this channel for inspection and cleaning.
Following a detailed 3D study, SACOME developed a functional design that adapts successfully to the client’s space and connection constraints, while meeting the recovery requirements of the processed components.
Designed to recover process value with precision.
