SACOME has recently supplied a heat exchanger for the heating of variable capacities (between 8.000 and 25.000 kg/h) of animal fat by means of steam.
The equipment, at the customer’s request, was tested to perform the process in both horizontal and vertical arrangement, and the design chosen was that of our model I-TFMP-I (multipass heat exchanger of SACOME’s industrial line).
In this case, due to the large difference between the minimum and maximum production flow, together with the characteristics of this product, with very low conductivity and medium viscosity, we had to check different calculation scenarios before offering the most suitable solution to the client. The equipment finally selected was an exchanger with 6 passes on the tube side.
