{"id":43410,"date":"2026-08-21T11:40:34","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T09:40:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sacome.com\/food-applications-with-criteria\/"},"modified":"2026-08-21T11:53:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T09:53:10","slug":"food-applications-with-criteria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sacome.com\/en\/food-applications-with-criteria\/","title":{"rendered":"Thoughtful Food Applications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"western\"><em><span lang=\"en-US\">High-pressure annular-space heat exchangers for the pasteurisation of a plant-based dessert.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span lang=\"en-US\">All these years of experience in food applications allow SACOME to approach very different processes with solid technical criteria, especially when both the product and the operating conditions require a specific solution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span lang=\"en-US\">A recent example is the supply of a skid fitted with <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>14 high-pressure annular-space tubular heat exchangers<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> for the pasteurisation of <\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>4,000 l\/h of a plant-based dessert<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span lang=\"en-US\">In this type of product, viscosity is a key factor when defining the heat transfer technology. For that reason, annular-space heat exchangers are particularly well suited to this duty. Their design, however, requires specific technical expertise, since the calculation methods involved differ from those used for other tubular exchanger models.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span lang=\"en-US\">There is also an important mechanical aspect to consider. Because this design is based on concentric tubes, with some of them operating under external pressure, a detailed mechanical calculation is required to prevent tube collapse during operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span lang=\"en-US\">In this particular project, the design pressure on the product side was especially demanding, so SACOME\u2019s technical team selected the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacome.com\/intercambiador-tubular-sanitario-espacio-anular-altas-presiones\/\"><b>S-TF40AH-D<\/b><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0model, developed for high-pressure sanitary annular-space applications.
