As shown in our website applications section<\/strong><\/a>, SACOME has extensive experience<\/strong> in the design and manufacture<\/strong> of heat exchangers for vegetable oils processing<\/strong><\/a>. It is worth mentioning that, within this sector, a large part of the projects carried out by SACOME are linked with palm oil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In this sense, after the successful installation of hundreds of tubular heat exchangers for the processing of palm oil<\/strong> <\/a>around the world (mainly in Southeast Asia) for more than 30 years, SACOME keeps on showing its strength<\/strong> in the vegetable oil sector<\/strong> after the recent award of an order for the manufacturing of 5 shell and tube heat exchangers<\/strong><\/a> for a large project developed in Angola. The heat exchangers<\/strong> models chosen by our technicians for the different processes have been our tubular heat exchanger I-TFM-I<\/strong><\/a> and our tubular heat exchanger I-TFMP-I<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.17.6″]<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.17.6″ border_style=”solid”]<\/p>\n The vegetable oils processing<\/strong> field is certainly a sector having special characteristics<\/strong>, for which an in-depth know-how<\/strong> of the complete process of refining vegetable oil<\/strong> is required. This is due to the fact that the thermal properties<\/strong><\/a> of the oil<\/strong> and the solids content<\/strong> or fouling<\/strong> can differ greatly depending on the stage of the production process<\/strong> in which the product is being treated. In addition, these aspects may have a significant influence on the configuration of the tubular heat exchangers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Specifically, in this project SACOME<\/strong> has designed and manufactured 2 oil \/ oil heat recovery units<\/strong>, an exhaust steam condenser<\/strong>, a shut-down cooler<\/strong> and an oil heater<\/strong>. In the heat recovery section<\/strong>, the palm oil flow rate<\/strong> is around 20,000 kg \/ h on both sides, while in the heater the palm oil capacity is significantly higher (approximately 140,000 kg \/ h).<\/p>\n SACOME<\/strong> has taken advantage of its long-standing background<\/strong> in these vegetable oil applications<\/strong><\/a> to provide a compact and drainable design<\/strong>, as always based on our own technology of corrugated tube<\/strong><\/a>, thus allowing to increase the turbulence<\/strong> and improving the coefficients of thermal transfer<\/strong>. As a result, the required exchange area<\/strong> is lower and, therefore, a more compact solution<\/strong> is achieved.
